The old Shrike Tree before it lost its crown (Silver Birch) |
Pass It on you Silvery Tree
(2nd Jan
2014 – Dalton Crags)
There’s nair a leaf on
silvery trees,
Which stretch like veins
to pierce the cloud,
And silvery tree will
wither soon to die and fall,
Like everything else
around.
You have already spread
your seed,
Where to the wind have
blown its sown,
Near or far and in
between,
Your work hath been done.
